PURPLE KINGS REBOUND DEFEAT MARSHALLS , BALLERS TO MOVE TO 8-4

FULSHEAR  (Feburary 13)  - The Texas  Purple Kings are in playoff form

They break out of a long nap 

Battling  adversity and a injuries to key players the Texas Purple Kings found a way to show the Battle Tested culture 

The Purple Gang were placed with great defense led by  Center Robert Koneth and Kevin Baker as the Kings  converted  21 first half steals into  major  points . As they fought off a reslilent  Midlothan Marshalls team by winning 104-100 in Midlothan on Saturday night  Baker led the Kings with 41 points and  19 rebounds and Koneth add 19 points and 11 rebounds along with 4 blocks

On Sunday the Purple Kings rode a balanced scoring attack and fought off a talented Lafyafette Ballers team winning 106-97  .  Baker led the team with 21 points and 11 rebounds while Newcomer Devin Phillo  added 20 points and 12 rebounds  led the team with Koneth add  10 points  and 15 rebounds . The team had to fend off a effort from the Ballers  Chris Berry who had 39 points and 20 rebounds to lead the Ballers (3-7) 

Purple Kings HC Eric Keppard stated on the  wins " The guys  opened up strong ,just  took the foot off the brake and were careless with the ball at times but we are working on the tweaks    We have to play better against a strong  Marshalls team and Red Wolves team next week to keep the momentum to the playoffs "He added

The Kings will have a week off as they face the Midltohian Marshalls  Saturday and Texas Red Wolves next Sunday both at 7 pm at the Legends Sports Complex in West Brookshire Texas
